From the original wild specimens that come from south eastern Asia have been bred many shades of long-finned beauties that could vie successfully in colour and grace with many of other butterflies. Some other natives, on the other hand, are bred not for lovely colours, but
for more practical purpose creating males that fight bitterly when placed with another of their own sex.

Taking Care
Keep the fighters you just received in a black colour bucket for a week before training. This will relieve the stress that fighters might experience during transportation, as well as, giving time for the fighters to adapt to the local water condition. Do water change every day.
Mosquito larvae and bloodworm are highly recommended. Feed the fighters twice a day at 9am and 4pm. The amount of food must be justified according to the fish size as well as its appetite at that time. Do not overfeed.
The water used must be de-chlorinated and conditioned with dried almond leaves. Brown coloured water indicates the PH of about 6.5 that supports fighters reaching their peak conditions. The water temperature must be warm (around 27C).
